National Media Orientation workshop: An intensive media orientation workshop, which saw the presence of senior media from across the print and electronic media, was held in Delhi preceding the International Policymakers' Conference in 2002. Despite the devastating effect of the AIDS epidemic, it is important to note that the vast majority of people throughout the world have not been infected.

Even in sub-Saharan Africa, the region most affected, more than 90% of all people are uninfected.

Prevention remains an urgent priority to help people stay uninfected and to protect future generations.
